SUZUKI SJ 410

Strange....I 4x4 whith a 1.0liter engine sounds like a joke .But the funny thing is that 410 has off road cababilities that no other 4x4 can achieve , it is small in all forms ( weight ,dimensions , engine ) but is great off road and one off the most reliable cars ever made (it so simple made so has nothing to break)
Also is a category alone ...I dont no why but only suzuki have a history of making 4x4.'s whith so small engines .... A edition of this car in japan had a 500cc engine with turbo?intercooler!!!!!!

SUZUKI SJ 410 HISTORY

Born at 1982 at Hamamatsu factory in Japan as the continuer of the LJ80 and formed a gategorie alone .A 1litre engined 4x4 with amazing off-road abilities and amazing Low price.

SJ410 Engine produced 45hp giving him a top speed at 68km/h (Mine SJ never pass 95km/h)
A 4-speed manual transmission was standard, (some versions a think had also a 5-speed manual tranmision )as were non-power assisted drum brakes front and rear, as a result was poor braking at high speeds. The SJ410 came as a half-door convertible, pickup truck, 2-door hardtop, raised-roof hardtop, and no-glass hardtop.

It was sold as the Suzuki Sierra and Holden Drover in Australia, the Maruti Gypsy in India , as suzuki Samurai and Santana (For sj build in Spain by Land Rover Santana. The Spanish company Land Rover Santana SA wanted a product to complement their Land Rover production, so Suzuki took a 20%, later increased to 32%,shareholding in Santana. This arrangement resulted in over 60% European content, allowing the vehicles to be exempt from Suzuki GB's quota.)in Europe the Suzuki Samurai or Jimny or SJ30 in North America and the Unided states

Differences from the familiar Samurai included of course the smaller engine, the narrower track width front and rear with leaf springs mounted further inboard, 12% lower transfer case ratios in high and low range, 10% lower differential gears, a 4-speed transmission, front and rear unboosted drum brakes, a transfer case mounted drum parking brake, seat and dashboard design, lack of a roll bar, and availability of half-door convertible, pickup, hardtop, raised-panoramic-roof, and no-glass hardtop versions.
